DescriptionThe renovated exhibit features new interactive and educational displays. The displays include an area with life-size statues of a 30-day-old cub, a one- to two-year-old juvenile and an adult male, a research helicopter, a snow den and a refrigerator packed with 140 pounds of seal meat. In an effort to bring guests closer to the animals than ever before, a ‘moveable experience wall’ was incorporated into the exhibit. At random times of the day, a glass panel is removed from a wire mesh wall while zookeepers interact with the bears. This is the first in a series of exhibits to enhance the guest experience, and strengthen the educational component of the zoo. |
